Video conferencing System

In the many business centers video conferencing systems has made a great impact. Video conferencing is defined as an interactive means of communications between two or more locations. This interactivity is possible through various means, but the common items are live video and good sound quality, other items being mouse, monitors, bandwidth etc.
Video conferencing and its systems have been around since the late 60s is various forms. You may remember the implementation of video conferencing in NASA in the movies. Usually in the space missions, where the mission control and the astronauts are communicating to each other in real time. The most common implementation of video conferencing is daily evening news being aired on the television when they have several reporters giving live feeds to the news-casters.
We also use video conferencing at homes through the Instant Messenger programs like Yahoo, MSN and AOL which are popular for last many years.

The main technology that has made it possible to use the video conferencing system is the availability of audio and video compression programs. This is done by compressing the information into small packages for transmitting over the internet or dedicated lines. For the last forty years the video and audio compression software has been greatly improved, in a way that the packets are even smaller and easily be transmitted faster using less bandwidth.
Today, thanks to the improved quality of the software we have, clean, clear and crisp video images and high quality sound. Another advantage of this improvement in the software has been a reduction in the delay that we experience which has made it possible to have real time video conferences.

You need the following video conference hardware to run your video conference; video camera or webcam, microphone, computer or TV, a set of speakers and an Internet connection. Broadband Internet connection would be best for transmitting the large volume of information that is created and will deliver the best results from an audio and video quality position.
The last thing you require for your videoconference is a video conference system. There are two types of conferencing system, dedicated and the second is a desktop system. In the dedicated system there are three groups, large, small and individual. The large group would be an auditorium filled with a huge audience. Small group consists of classroom or a board room. The individual group is a one on one conference.
The individual level requires the least experience to set up and use. Most computers today come with the equipment you need already installed on them.
